Every new year we tend to set ourselves goals that we intend to fulfil before the upcoming year. Every 31st of December for the past few years I have tended to believe that 'Tomorrow will be a new day. It will be the first page of a new chapter...'. However, after the first week or two, I come back to base one. This year, my only resolution, or aim, is to EXECUTE. I am a person who tends to overthink everything.I often lack self-confidence, thinking what other people might think about me, about how I look, how I talk, what I do, about my job, about my studies, but I recently came across a motivational phrase and learnt that:

''the unhappiest people in this World are those who care the most about what other people think"

You are your biggest competitor, so go ahead, just do it. Make your mistakes, failure is your friend! Because failure means you are taking action, you are EXECUTING! Get up. Once, twice, thrice... DO IT! Persist. You will get there!

I’m on the plane, on my way back home. Celebrating Christmas in sunny Canary Islands is not something everyone is destined to, but I consider myself lucky enough to have been born and brought up in Lanzarote. What I do not feel lucky about is having a baby sat next to me on the plane, for the third consecutive trip. The baby’s parents have not been able to rest for a minute. The cheeky little one will not cease to cry unless she is being carried around in her dad’s arms.
